The classic Daiquiri is one of my favorite cocktails! It is a great way to try out new rums. Its a good baseline to see how a rum or rhum plays in a cocktail as there are no other spirits and doesn’t have strong flavors to compete with. You can really get to know the rum this way. The simplest of ingredients come together for a refreshing and delicious cocktail. The Daiquiri needs no improvement, but having adding in fresh, seasonal ingredients is a great way to mix things up a bit and jazz up this classic Cuban cocktail!
I have 4 seasonal Daiquiri variations variations today for National Rum Day! These are some of my favorite summer fruits and are great to add to rum! Pineapple is of course a great pairing with rum, but don’t overlook peaches, watermelon or super seasonal figs! I especially like figs with dark, spice filled aged rums. If you are looking and easy way to celebrate National Rum Day, which is every day in my house, then these Seasonal Daiquiri Variations are calling your name…. “Driiiiink Meeeeee!”

Love the fig daiquiri cocktail! Spiced rum is such an often overlooked spirit during the summer months. We may have to use it in our new cocktail bar before the summer ends. We’re always on the lookout for fun new drink pairings.
You must, the rum and figs go so well together! If you do add a drink with one to the menu, let me know!
