A cardamom syrup great for using in cocktails and drinks. I am thinking this would also be great as the sweetener in a refreshing lemonade, spiked or not ; ) Cardamom is a pod like spice found in Indian, the Middle East, North Africa, and Scandinavia. It’s peppered through out these regions cuisines, but cardamom is a very versatile spice in so many sweet and savory dishes, and cocktails, world wide.
I used the cardamom syrup recently in this Scandinavian Picnic cocktail recently and really liked the spice it added to the green, vegetal cocktail.
Cardamom Syrup

Split cardamom pods and slightly crushed cardamom seeds. Add sugar and water to a saucepan. Bring to almost a boil to dissolved sugar. Add cardamom bits to the pan.
